Centipedes are small animals with worm like bodies and have about a hundred legs. Thier bodies are a bit flattened compared to that of a millipede and each of thier joints have one pair of legs.
This type of centipede is a house centipede. Centipedes also lay
thier eggs in soil or decayed wood to protect them from predators. -in picture below

They are closely related to spiders and insects but catch thier prey in a similar way as scorpions do, with thier venomous claws. They catch thier prey by paralyzing them which are usually earthworms, cockroaches and sometimes mice.
Interesting... although, they usually have less than 100 legs; they have a lot of legs, but generally, people are too lazy to count exactly how many they have.
